Design Housing and cover is grey cast iron, the knob is plastic-armoured steel, operating cartridge and valve plate are made from brass, the valve seat is grey cast iron.
Application Mixing warm water systems' upstream and downstream water. Lower the gas side corrosion of coal-and hydrocarbon firing boiler by keeping the boiler water temperature stable (on a high degree) with a mixing valve, using upstream and downstream water at any temperature within the range shown in adjustment range before. The mixing ratio required can be adjusted by turning the knob while monitoring a thermometer installed in the mixed water pipe. menwhile the recirculation pump must be used! Adjusted mixed water temperature is kept in ±4 °C difference according to adjustment range by thermostatic operating cartridge built in valvle. Essential for underfloor heating! Warning! Not suitable to control hot water systems that are not equipped with a recirculation pump!
Installation The valve can be concantrated to the hot water system by a flare nut. The mixing valve can be mounted in any position but the water supplied by the boiler must always arrive to the manifold located opposite the adjustment knob. The adjustment knob can be unscrewed (even under pressure) and the operating cartridge can be pushed further than the brass edge of the cartridge at a temperature of 20°C degrees, then the cartridge needs to be replaced. The mixing valve must be drained prior to replacing the cartridge. For valves NÁ 3/4" and 1" the neck must be unscrewed, for valves NÁ 6/4", screws M8 aare to be unscrewed and the cast cover removed and now the cartridge can be replaced by tilting the valve plate and taking it off the cartridge. If the boiler is equipped with its own pump (factory unit), the mixing valve may reduce the water-flow of the boiler so much so that the safety system of the boiler swithes burner off. Therefore, it is recommended installing 1/2" pipe with a throttle valve between the upstream and the downstream manifold of the boiler (installation diagram No.2)
Operation Switch on the circulation pump during start-up. Turn the adjustment knob in the middle of the groove on the neck.Touch the heatpipe to feel that water supplied by the boiler is warmer thatn the downstream water. The upstream (mixed) heating water is slightly warmer than the downstream water. Now use the sdjustment knob to close the valve. You can feel that both the upstream and downstream pipes are equally cold. Touch the naked upstream pipe with your hands, and turn the adjustment knob outwards until the pipe starts getting warmer. The valve is now in regulatory position. The temperature condition of the system will stabilize after half an hour and you may continue to turn the adjustment know as required. Give the adjustment knob only a half-turn at a time, then wait for the system to restabilize.
